The
Edifier S2.1D is essentially the base 2.1 system, plus a high quality Digital
Input. The built in 96KHz/24BIT audio decoder accepts all incoming S/PDIF
digital audio signals. As with nearly all Edifier systems, MDF wood enclosures
are used for the subwoofer and satellites. The classic Band-Pass design
subwoofer uses a 6.5inch professional design driver, and to compliment each
satellite, a 3 inch mid-range driver, and 3/4 inch cloth dome tweeter are
utilized. The S 2.1 also utilizes a High Power output amplifier, and a
Microcomputer controlled digital volume IC. Designed by Edifier’s Sound
Engineers for all serious enthusiasts, the S series 2.1D delivers superb realism
for all S/PDIF Digital Input Sources available.
