Sprint Computer is an Ottawa-based manufacturer/reseller of computers and computer components. Incorporated in 1996 as Sprint Network Inc., we operate as Sprint Computer. We designed the company as a customer-centric business, with a focus on providing the customer with the best products from the thousands available. Our location houses departments dedicated to Retail Sales, Corporate Sales and a Service Department that ensures our customers a satisfying and effective ongoing relationship. Sprint Computer has grown consistently to become a significant player in the National Capital Region computer market. We now employ 12 workers and, in 2004. Products Sprint Computer committed early to a three-tiered strategy comprised of: 1. providing the customer with the widest possible range of brand-name components, such as: Asus Acer AOpen Canon Epson Hewlett Packard Lexmark Maxtor Quantum Seagate Guillemot MicroStar Enermax Antec Tyan Others thereby ensuring the availability of trusted quality products, backed by warranties from major industry players; 2. Allowing the customer access to the newest and most exiting technologies for those who want the “newest toys”. Examples include: - our commitment to carrying CDR and CDR-W units on a large scale before our competitors, and - our investment in the stocking of Rackmount products, probably the only local retailer to do so; - Recently we were one of the first to advertise and display a Linux based system in Ottawa. 3. Forming strategic partnerships with local, national and multi-national providers of products and services of interest to our customer base, ensuring both the quality and longevity of product delivery and support. Service The complexity of today’s multimedia and high-performance systems and the rapid developments in technology generate more complex problems than in the early technology years. This means a requirement for more knowledge and experience in both the newer and the older technologies in order to deliver fixes at reasonable costs. Sprint Computer approaches this issue on three fronts, namely: a commitment to hiring technically proficient sales staff, who often provide first-level support, solving service issues before they need escalation to dedicated service technicians; the availability of three experienced and knowledgeable full-time technicians, who are trained to deal with more complex service issues in an effective and timely manner; and strategic partnerships with large multinational service organizations, such as Getronics, who can provide high-quality service coverage for volume overflow or cases which provide difficulty by virtue of location; ensuring that the post-sale customer relationship is mutually satisfying and effective. Reputation Through the variety and quality of the products and the availability and quality of the service described above, Sprint Computer has established itself as a leading supplier of computer-based solutions in the National Capital Region, known as a company with knowledgeable staff, fair pricing and a large volume of readily-available stock. In the personal computer and small business markets, word-of-mouth has been our main market generator and our customer loyalty is unparalleled in this region. Many of our customers have been dealing with Sprint since we first opened the store in 1996 and it would be fair to say that an overwhelming majority would furnish a reference for excellence. Strategic Partnerships Sprint Computer, in an effort to offer the best technology solutions to our market, forms strategic partnerships with quality suppliers, manufacturers and servicers of technology solutions. This approach allows Sprint to provide our customers with a wide range of state-of-the-art products and services.
